Katie Tuten Joins AgSouth Farm Credit in Spartanburg, South Carolina

SPARTANBURG, SC. (August 26, 2019): AgSouth Farm Credit Regional Business Development Manager Will Peeler announced that Katie Tuten has joined the Spartaburg, South Carolina, office as a loan officer trainee.

Tuten, from Simpsonville, S.C., is a recent graduate of Clemson University with a degree in animal science, concentrating in agribusiness. As a Clemson student, she was involved in the Clemson Dairy Science Club, Clemson Block and Bridle, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Clemson Collegiate Farm Bureau. She also interned with the Clemson Extension Livestock and Forages team and worked closely with the South Carolina Cattlemen’s Association.  

Tuten has been heavily involved with SC Farm Bureau over the past few years and has been serving this year as one of two SCFB Youth Ambassadors. 

Peeler says that Tuten will be training to replace loan officers who will be retiring next year. She will be working to expand the association’s agricultural portfolio in Cherokee, Greenville, Spartanburg and Union counties. 

He continues, saying, “We’re happy to welcome Katie, whose education and ag-focused background will make her a valuable addition to our Spartanburg team.”

AgSouth Farm Credit provides loans for land, equipment and production agriculture; crop insurance; leasing; and home mortgages.
