10/27/2017 - AgSouth Farm Credit Welcomes Local Todd Mahon as Relationship Manager in Laurens, SC
STATESBORO, Ga. (October 27, 2017): Al Baldwin, Regional Vice President of AgSouth Farm Credit, announced that Todd Mahon has joined the cooperative as a relationship manager in the Laurens, S.C., office. Laurens serves Abbeville, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurens, and McCormick counties.
8/31/2017 - AgSouth Directors Re-Elected at Annual Meeting
STATESBORO, GA (August 31, 2017): AgSouth Farm Credit CEO Pat Calhoun announced that four directors were re-elected to AgSouth’s board of directors at this month’s annual meetings. Meetings were held in Griffin and Statesboro, Ga., and Clinton and Orangeburg, S.C.
7/6/2017 - AgSouth Farm Credit Welcomes Sharmequa M. Franklin as Chief Human Resources Officer
STATESBORO, Ga. (July 6, 2017): Pat Calhoun, CEO of AgSouth Farm Credit, announced that Sharmequa M. Franklin will succeed AgSouth’s current Chief Human Resources Officer Lisa Peden when Peden retires in December.
6/26/2017 - Jeffrey Mills Joins AgSouth Farm Credit
Statesboro, GA. (June 26, 2017): Deidre Nelson, SMM loan originator manager for AgSouth Farm Credit’s mortgage loan department (AgSouth Mortgages), recently announced that Jeffrey Mills has joined the association as a mortgage originator. Mills will work from the Camden office and will serve Richland, Kershaw, and Fairfield counties.
6/9/2017 - Allen Daley Sharpens Skills at Banking School
(June 9, 2017): Allen Daley, a relationship manager with AgSouth Farm Credit in Sylvania, attended the 2017 on-campus session of the Georgia Banking School as second-year student. Established in 1961, the Georgia Banking School is a three-year specialized school run by the Georgia Bankers Association. The purpose of the school is to prepare financial managers to effectively and profitably serve their hometowns by developing a thorough understanding of lending practices, regulations, and management principles.
5/30/2017 - AgSouth's Carrollton Office Welcomes Seth Lorrens as Farm Credit Express Relationship Manager
STATESBORO, GA. (May 30, 2017): Theron Anderson, Director of SMM & Related Services at AgSouth Farm Credit, recently announced that Seth Lorrens has joined the association as a Farm Credit Express relationship manager. He will be based in AgSouth’s Carrollton, Ga., office.
5/23/2017 - Farm Credit Associations Lead Support of Legislation to Prevent Overtaxing of Family-Owned Farms
STATESBORO, GA. (May 23, 2017): Legislation drafted by a workgroup headed by AgSouth Farm Credit’s Christian Taylor and sponsored by Senator Tyler Harper (R-GA-007), Georgia HB 290, passed the Georgia Senate 51-0 on March 24 and was subsequently signed into law by Governor Nathan Deal.
5/8/2017 - AgSouth Farm Credit Reports Significant Profits in First Quarter
STATESBORO, Ga. (May 8, 2017) – AgSouth Farm Credit CEO Pat Calhoun recently announced that the customer-owned cooperative had net earnings of more than $7.957 million in the first quarter of 2017. He states that, “While earnings are slightly below last year at the same time, they remain strong for the association. We have also seen a slight increase in loan demand in the first quarter. ”
5/2/2017 - AgSouth Farm Credit Branch Opens in New Location
STATESBORO, GA (May 2, 2017): AgSouth Regional Vice President Daryl Griner says that the Spartanburg branch office will be relocating down the street from its current office on Asheville Highway to 101 Northtown Drive on May 15.
4/15/2017 - AgSouth's Vidalia Office Welcomes Katy Galbreath as Financial Services Specialist
