AgSouth Welcomes Darcy Davis as Crop Insurance Agent
Blackshear, GA.: (January 18, 2024): AgSouth Farm Credit Crop Insurance Manager Sandra Meeks has announced that she is excited to have Darcy Davis back at AgSouth as the newest Crop insurance Agent in the Blackshear, GA branch office.
Darcy is known in the Blackshear area and is a former AgSouth employee in the Home Loan Department. Darcy and her husband live in Patterson, Georgia where they raise beef cattle and horses. As a policyholder herself, Darcy well understands the importance of farmers having protection against risk and uncertainty. When asked what she looks forward to in this next phase in her career, Darcy states, “I love AgSouth and am excited to be back on the team. I look forward to working with farmers by helping them with their crop insurance needs. Although you may find me in a different role in the company, I am still just as willing and eager to serve my customers.”
Darcy will serve farmers in the counties serviced by the AgSouth Branch offices in Blackshear and Jesup. Those counties include Pierce, Ware, Clinch, Charlton, Brantley, Camden, Glynn, McIntosh, Wayne, Long, and Liberty Counties.
According to Meeks, “Farm operations and commodities grown in Southeast Georgia are important to the agriculture industry in our state. Farming is hard work and a high-risk business. Our full-time agents work closely with farmers and our lenders to offer insurance that can protect farmers against uncertainty. Darcy’s local ties and strong customer service will make her valuable addition to our insurance team.”
