AgSouth Welcomes Thomas James as Griffin Loan Officer 

Griffin, GA.: (April 4, 2024): AgSouth Farm Credit Regional Lending Manager Clark David has announced that he is excited to have Thomas James back at AgSouth as a Loan Officer in the Griffin, GA branch office.

Thomas was born and raised in Thomaston, Georgia. He currently lives in Pike County, near the Griffin office. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Agribusiness. 

Thomas previously worked for AgSouth from 2012 to 2022 as a loan officer then credit analyst with time spent in both the Thomaston and Carrollton branches. Most recently he worked for another agricultural lender but decided to come home to Farm Credit in the Griffin office. According to Thomas, “I am excited to return to AgSouth and again be working closely with the local agricultural community.”

Thomas and his wife, Emily have two children, Hannah and Garrett. He enjoys spending time with family, being in the outdoors (hunting, fishing, working in the yard), and rooting for in the Georgia Bulldogs in the fall! 

According to David, “Griffin and its surrounding areas is a high growth sector in Georgia. We have loan programs for land, farms and homes that meet the needs of this market, and Thomas is a good fit to understand and serve the needs of our customer base. We are excited to have him as a valuable addition to our lending team.”
