Coronavirus Update: Branch Safety Measures

Statesboro, Ga. (July 28, 2020):
To our valued member-borrowers and friends,
As the world continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, we are carefully adjusting and preparing to navigate the unpredictable future. Many counties in our territory are experiencing increased cases of the virus. The medical and scientific communities are learning more about the virus with each passing day. We are learning more too – personally and as a business. It is likely that each of us knows someone who has been exposed to, has contracted the virus, or has had contact with someone who has. As a business, we have learned from our states’ shelter in place orders and their phased reopening plans. We’re learning how to do many of our tasks remotely and how to support each other in trying times.
Given the rise in cases, we are reinforcing a few measures to help keep our customers and our staff healthy and safe. We continue to be open for business. That said, if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive for the virus, or have been recently exposed to someone who has tested positive, please postpone your visit to your local branch. Give us a call and a staff member will be happy to meet you at the door, in the parking lot, or provide you with other options on how to best serve you including virtual options for appointments. We encourage you to practice social distancing and wear a mask in public when social distancing is not possible. Likewise, we encourage our staff to mask up if they are unable to maintain appropriate social distancing in their interactions with you. Hand sanitizer is also available at all of our office locations.
We will continue to monitor public health concerns and the economic climate to adjust our delivery of services accordingly. You depend on us and we are committed to continuing to serve you as we move forward together.
Thank you for your business and your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Pat Calhoun
Chief Executive Officer
